New carpet in the livingroom…

proofs to be harder then what i thought. Well my first limit is of course the budget. It’s low, so it leaves me with good old IKEA, maybe Maison du Monde and someone else out there that caters for interiour lovers  like me. Our sofa is white, walls are white part from one that is grey and accent color is redish tones. The problem is the floor that is in stone and pinkish apricot….its not good. And above all freezing in the winter! So anyways I am now considering below idea: a persian inspired one. Old with new modern clean looks and some vintage pieces. Its eyecandy for me!

So this is the carpet im thinking of.

Weekend…

So the weekend is coming up and Im looking forward to having a movie night with my 4 year old, most likely looking at some dino movie and a huge bowl of popcorn. But before that i will check out the fashion show in Denmark and most of all ours. Gulp! I pray that the very expensive stylist they hired will actually do a very expensive looking job and not what I have seen so far.

Saturday I need to do go to the art store. Yeah! Finally got some money to spend and it will be on textile dye colors, rubbers and cutters for my new project. Lets see if i can show you something soon… And oh i need to start printing out our wedding photos ( we got married like 3 years ago ) and do an album as a gift to my obi on all hearts day.

Luckely for me, since i need a drink and some fried green tomatos with goat cheese we are going to the restaurant Picnic here in Barcelona for a birthday celebration. Yeah Saturday night out!

And Sunday i have to make something out of all that wonderfull driftwood i picked on the beach the other day….otherwise i know someone who will go mad. I know we have all seen below image on blogs from all over the place but i cant let it go. And wouldn’t it be stunning using them for hangers of some kind ? or framed ? or doing one of those things haning down from the ceiling ?

What are you up to?

Hi all,

after a long time of not writing anything It just hit me – that need to write again. To comunicate with fellow bloggers and  readers…even if i most likely dont have that many now. There a lot of reasons why I havent been blogging: personal issues, lots of work, projects that has nothing to do but might in the future have to do with blogging…Anyways I hope that soon mrs LUCK will be on my side again. If you believe and work hard she will. So that is what i do.

Now to a very exciting company whom i allready adore without having ever bought there product: the Honest Company by Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan. The idea is to create diapers and baby products but also home cleaning products that actually are good and honest. Diapers that are without toxics, biodegradable, plantbased, secure, comfortable and fit but also so cute! I can honestly say that i used the big brand diapers on my son and i properbly created a montain of waste. I remember thinking about these diapers made out of fabric but was to lazy to even start researching the possibility of it. But now for people like me this is it! I can be ecofriendly, good to my babies skin and good the earth. And clean the house and actually leaving it clean and safe. It’s just the perfect pack and more over it does not seem that expensive either – cause whats the point if you do good products but then nobody can afford it.

Asian inspired wallpaper

Below image is the front cover of Elle Decor here in Spain. The storage furniture is apperantly from IKEA and then they just covered it in this amazing asian inspired paper. Also love the stripes chair and all the hyacinter ( have no idea the name of that flower in english…).  We allways need flowers in a room! But sincerly i would not like to live in a house with that humed struck wall.. but I have to admit it looks nice on photo.

Anyways what i wanted to get to was that brilliant idea of doing the wallpaper thing on a furniture. We have seen it so many times but this to my taste is one of the better. Now to the problem: where to find wall paper like that?

If I had an office…

…then it would look something like this.
Lots of light – its vital! White walls and vintage storage objects, colorfull details as using old tomato cans and decorating them with wall paper, a MAC and my 2 sowing mashines.

I should also get my dads old typewriting mashine where i used to write my school papers on for writing thank you cards to those who order my Blueberries & Milk dresses.

and I need a huge table for cutting and patternmaking…And music! Tom Waits, Johnson ,Frankenreiter etc etc…

And all my office supplies I would get from the GREEN OFFICE SUPPLIES website.

A wall of creativity

Desperatly looking for the shack of designer Isabel Marrant and Jeromy Dreyfuss in France with no luck. Where did I saw it today? In what blog? I was sure it was the NY times…but anyhow NY times allways has great slideshows of homes and now I found a photo of this so perfect in every way childs room. The whole wall to paint on, the light coming in, the use of antique furniture..the lamp and one of my all time favorite interior item: the globe. The color of the walls and the geographic patterned carpet makes perfection.

…but i still wonder: where are all the toys? the mess? … the crayons for making those drawings. I know I know its a photoshoot but still.

Have a lovely weekend! I so need it!

The Brook Farm General Store...I would love to have one in my neighbourhood! Come over the Atlantic and build one here too!
Love the soft colors and that seems the natural handfeel and feelgood-ness about it all!
