ecological living – style without compromise

New sporty fresh fall look? Yes this is for me!

The bags are so huggable – especially the pink shopping. Can i just have it at home like a pillow or something? Love the label to: sais how fish nets in gr was recycles to make the fabric. Super!

and here we go! One of these will be my new sneakers for fall. Or all of them…depends on my wallet.
Organic cotton, chrome-free suede, recycled rubber sole, organic cotton lining and insole recycled from mattress foam…and the design is really really nice.
All from Spanish Ecoalf.

My new dress!

Yep last night I got creative and I made myself a dress. You like it? I am happy with the result and I think I will do some more…Got some compliments for it when wearing it yesterday too so at the end of the day I was rather proud and ready to sow some more!  Anyhow  tonight i will let my overlock rest -  after everyone has gone to sleep I will be up reading Lonny !

Earth dyeing

With the aestetics of asian culture and the ability to use earth or rather soil to dye fabric miss Hyun Jin Jeong has created some rather exquisite textiles. She comments on her work on the St Martin textile blog: My vision of textile futures is the re-discovery of everyday materials from nature. There are many different natural materials that were once used but are now forgotten. I think rediscovering these materials and using them wisely is essential for a sustainable future.

Cosy clothing for the little one.

Now I know it’s summer and its hot outside. I know we just want to run around butt naked in the sun, dive into the waves or just chill under a tree BUT I found this super cute collection over at GOOP and I wanted to share ( and save in my files…since this blog is like a file sharing thing  for me ) Just adorble and its teaches you one or two things too:

All of Waddlers Alpaca wool is sourced in Bolivia and Peru from small farmers. As well as providing an income for thousands of families, Alpacas are also an environmentally friendly animal. Unlike sheep and goats, they have soft toes that don’t damage delicate eco-systems and their grazing doesn’t cause soil erosion. They e source  Alpaca fur from the high number of animals that die naturally in the foaling season. Alpacas are not farmed for their fur and Waddler does not support fur farming. *(Baby Alpaca refers to the fine grade of the wool rather than it coming from young Alpacas)

I got a little bit wiser and I really want to shop now! Like the super cute wolf and bear hooded jumper for fall. Amazing!

the organic T-SHIRT store

Finally you can buy cool organic t-shirts at a decent price at the t-shirt store. Similar concept to another huge american website but instead of normal cotton the tshirt store from Sweden ( yeah! ) has gone back to the roots and they are using only 100% organic cotton for their products which I think is GREAT!!! Below is some girly favorites but there are lods more!
