Canadian WW eco fashion brand is out with their new fall collection…and with that paper dolls designed by Dallas Shaw. I adore DACE!

The organic fashion label EDUN founded by Ali Hewson and Bono has such a fantastic new collection. Take a look at their lookbook here. I really really adore the fact that so many fashion brands are now 100% organic and that I can actually shop with a smile on my face.

Bhalo works with a fair trade producer in rural Bangladesh called Thanapara Swallows whos women workers hand loom and hand embroider our cotton and silks. Unfortunately our producer has not yet obtained the official organic certification, however we can say that they are in the process of getting certified and working hard to convert the whole village to organic farming. It is a challenge however to convince farmers to switch over, as it requires education and the first few harvests are generally pretty poor, and many of these farmers are struggling to make a living already. Because of this certification issue they have lost a few potential buyers, however we have decided to stick with them while they develop, and prevent workers from losing jobs and becoming even more marginalized.  It definitely helps to have financial assistance from abroad while they set up the process.

I just found this adorable collection of babywear and kids wear from Natural baby New Zealand.  I love all the stripes – i’m a fan for stripes when it comes to babywear – and also the baby sleeping cot and all the organic sleeping wear like the futon matress….all so nice! There are lods of small designers trying to get their collection out to the public: gorgious collection with fantastic organic fabrics and made through fair trade. But looking at the bigger chain stores there is very little movement towards getting greener. I went yesterday looking for some basics and the only bigger chain store where I bought something was H&M. It does make me proud since im swedish and so are they! So today I went to search there site and found not only these lovlies at there on- line shop but also a report saying that their baby eco collection has gone up by 43 % more then last year! Excellent!
