A wall of creativity

Desperatly looking for the shack of designer Isabel Marrant and Jeromy Dreyfuss in France with no luck. Where did I saw it today? In what blog? I was sure it was the NY times…but anyhow NY times allways has great slideshows of homes and now I found a photo of this so perfect in every way childs room. The whole wall to paint on, the light coming in, the use of antique furniture..the lamp and one of my all time favorite interior item: the globe. The color of the walls and the geographic patterned carpet makes perfection.

…but i still wonder: where are all the toys? the mess? … the crayons for making those drawings. I know I know its a photoshoot but still.

Have a lovely weekend! I so need it!

Something about those Brazilians…

and their playfull apartments that just make me awwww. They have a natural talent for mixing old with new, soft with hard surfaces, color and texture that is to me a pleaure for the eye.  And just ideas like using for storage old plastic fruit and veggie boxes and put them in a 60’s inspired shelf furniture…so like it!I can imagine the room getting filled with beautfull people, a mojito in their hand dancing softly the rythms of samba. More of the very interesting  historical background of this modern Brazilian design concept and photos ( yeah! ) is here.

Everywhere I see pink…

could it be that love is in the air?
Love the aquarelle feather painting and the livingroom is just so light and airy still very cozy mixing
different textures and adding color to the natural canvas. A babydress from my Blueberries & Milk and
an adorable wedding shoe. Recycle your tea tin jars for fresh picked flowers and use some
vintage plates to organize your jems.

This is just perfect…

After a weekend of hanging with 3 year olds I needed some time for my self. Well my own 3 year old is sleeping siesta so sitting brousing the blogs for inspiration ( there is an overload…) I wound this amazing kids room. This is just perfect….from the painted brick walls ( don’t you just want to touch them ) to the recycled fruit book shelves, the old style bed and the silver baskets to the star theme and let’s not forget the colors! Yummi!

LUNDAGARDEN – what an absolute charming store!

I mean look at these photos below…it’s just so adorable. I could spend some money in there im sure. Lundagarden you can actually find up in the northern parts of FINLAND where this family of 6 lives, redecorating and rebuilding their home continuesly using old traditional handkraft techniques and materials that does not harm the surrounding nature. ( my thing! )They as mentioned also has a shop as per lovely photos below but you can also visit there on line store or just stare at all the lovely photos on their blog. Makes me want to run out in the forest and buy myself an old cottage…wonder if my husband is thinking the same?

Becuase of all the memoriabilia, the mix of materials and textures, the few colors that keep it all together and gives harmony, the light and the high ceilings, the garden oh the garden and all the fresh flowers everywhere! I must go out and buy fresh flowers….

the 21st-century industrial kitchen…

Browsing through the web I found in the Gaurdian this super interesting article about how to achieve the ever so trendy industrial kitchen.I does seem to be the new it regarding interior… i see it a little bit on all the blogs i follow.Sort of an extension from shabby chic no? But cleaner looking. I adore it!
