Kids Art Supplies…

Something about those Brazilians…

and their playfull apartments that just make me awwww. They have a natural talent for mixing old with new, soft with hard surfaces, color and texture that is to me a pleaure for the eye.  And just ideas like using for storage old plastic fruit and veggie boxes and put them in a 60’s inspired shelf furniture…so like it!I can imagine the room getting filled with beautfull people, a mojito in their hand dancing softly the rythms of samba. More of the very interesting  historical background of this modern Brazilian design concept and photos ( yeah! ) is here.

A little eco-friendly cottage by the Baltic sea…

the Palvas, both Finnish architects. Their 150-square-foot cottage on the west side of Helsinki, near the Baltic shore, a 10-minute bike ride from their three-bedroom apartment is a pure eco-friendly gem. It cost around $42,000 to build or in euros about 30.000.  I so oh so want one too! I mean its in the middle of the forrest, you can see a peak of the ocean, you have marimekko print details, little led lights, basically glas walls, hidden spaces everywhere for smart storage, smart bedding and living during the day, cosy smart flooring with heating and on and on i could go. Yummi!
